Project Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who has hands on field experience with a proven track record in the Commercial Retail Industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing overall management of the construction process of large scale retail properties. The ideal candidate must be able to provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Essential Functions:
• Reviewing required licensing and permits
• Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
• Oversees performance of all contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
• Reports to SVP about progress and any necessary modifications of plans.
Financial Analyst
Acadia is seeking a full time analyst to assist in the identification, analysis and presentation of real estate acquisitions.
Candidate responsibilities will include:
• Evaluating potential acquisitions, redevelopments, and ground-up developments to be presented to senior management;
• Building institutional quality financial models using Excel and Argus;
• Assisting in the acquisition due diligence and closing process;
• Writing detailed Investment Committee memoranda;
• Assisting in the execution of the post-acquisition business plan.
Graphics / Marketing Administrative Assistant
Acadia is seeking a creative professional to assist in all aspects of the Marketing Department’s operations, including design and production of marketing materials, environmental graphics, presentations, and website maintenance. This position will be reporting to the EVP, COO.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability to conceptualization and design graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books and presentations, corporate identity, and multimedia interfaces
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and take on additional last minute projects as needed.
Liaise with leasing and other departments, tenants, customers, and vendors.
Design, write content and create promotional materials.
Negotiate media contracts and purchase media placement.

Construction Estimator
Acadia is seeking a Construction Estimator who has experience in the Commercial, Retail, and Construction Industry with a proven track record. Proficient understanding of Commercial, Retail Construction, procedures, practices, schedules, products, means and methods.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepare accurate estimates with minimal information. Estimator shall think “outside the box”, and treat each estimate as separate and distinct.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction Project Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates used by management, leasing and development for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Prepare trade RFP’s, analyze (de-scope) bids, and prepare comprehensive bid comparison sheets
• Supplement and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare project schedules
• Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Visit site and record information about access, existing conditions, and availability of services such as water and electricity.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Project Engineer
Acadia is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer with a proven track record. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of the construction industry and process, with the ability to read construction documents. This Position will be reporting to the Project Manager and Project Executive, and will be based out of the job site in Brooklyn.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Reviews & overlays contract documents for proper coordination between trades to reduce conflicts and change orders
• Review RFI's, submittals / shop drawings for compliance with the Contract documents.
• Processes RFI's and Submittals with the design team and appropriate contractors/ team members. Maintains electronic database (RFI & Submittal Log) on behalf of ACRS.
• Prepare agenda/ topics for Bi-weekly Owner-Architect-Engineer meetings and distribute meeting minutes to all attendees.
• Work with the project management team to develop agendas/ topics for weekly contractor meeting and distributes meeting minutes to all contractors
• Review sub-contractors contracts and communicates with the project team to ensure that the contractor is completing their scope of work as specified.
• Coordinate between Project team, Architects, Engineers and sub-contractors to resolve issues and speed-up the construction process.
• Updates the Project schedule
• Document, review, distribute revisions and be involved with the change order process.
